MUMBAI: Reality series Rise and Fall may have only premiered a few days ago, but it is already creating waves among audiences.
Streaming on MX Player and Amazon Prime, the show is hosted by business magnate Ashneer Grover and features a star-studded line-up of celebrities from across the entertainment spectrum.
Inspired by the international format Rise and Shine, the competition begins with all contestants on equal footing before dividing them into two contrasting groups.
Some rise to the status of Rulers, enjoying luxury and privileges in a lavish penthouse, while others are designated as Grafters, enduring challenging conditions with limited resources.

The ensemble cast includes Kiku Sharda, Arjun Bijlani, Dhanashree Verma, Kubbra Sait, Aahana Kumra, Aditya Narayan, Anaya Bangar, Akriti Negi, Noorin Sha, Bali, Aarush Bhola, Arbaaz Patel, Nayandeep Rakshit, and wrestler Sangeeta Phogat.
A clip from the show has gone viral, capturing a candid conversation between Dhanashree Verma and Kubbra Sait. During the chat, Dhanashree revealed that she discovered her ex-husband, cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal, had been unfaithful within just two months of their marriage.
When Kubbra asked when she realised the relationship was a mistake, Dhanashree stated, “First year. Caught him in the second month,” leaving Kubbra visibly stunned.
Dhanashree and Chahal tied the knot in December 2020 and finalised their divorce in March this year. While the separation was largely kept private, speculation persisted, particularly regarding rumours of Chahal paying Rs 60 crore in alimony.
