MUMBAI: The second season of the celebrity comedic chat program "The Great Indian Kapil Show" (TGIKS) was revealed by the show's creators on Monday. 'The Great Indian Kapil Show' has invited celebrities like international pop sensation Ed Sheeran, cricketers Rohit Sharma and Shreyas Iyer, actor Aamir Khan, and many more prominent figures from the entertainment world.

The creators of the show announced the second season on social media and posted a video overview of the current season.

The makers shared on social media, “Entertainment ki baarish hogi do-bara, kyunki The Great Indian Kapil Show ka Season 2 aayega bas kuch hi mahino mein! Aur naye season ka wait karte hue Season 1 binge karlo! (The Great Indian Kapil Show's season 2 will arrive in just a few months! While you wait for the new season, binge-watch season 1)”

Reacting to the news, Kapil Sharma said, “This has been a wonderful first season. There have been many firsts, and we will cherish those. We are grateful for all the love pouring in from across the globe.”

He further added, “We promise not to keep our audience waiting for too long for the next season. Enjoy the finale episode with Kartik Aryan this weekend and stay tuned as we gear up for season 2.”

Rajiv Thakur, Kiku Sharda, Krushna Abhishek, and Sunil Grover all give outstanding performances throughout the program. The show has enthralled people all over the world with Kapil's clever punches and Archana Puran Singh directing her beloved "kursi" (chair).

The current season's finale is scheduled for June 22 only on Netflix.
