MUMBAI: Northstar Entertainment which recently presented SIN and Asalem Jarigindante is back with a new acquisition. It is a movie this time, named Bhanumati Ramakrishna. Naveen Chandra and Salony Luthra are the leads.

The trailer brings forth the content of the series perfectly. The two leads, their worlds, and their problems are understood well from the teaser itself. One can see there is a class difference at play with the lead pair belonging to Hyderabad and Tenali, respectively. It is reflected in the way they talk and dress.
The makers could have been a little more forthright with the core conflict, though. It seems a bit muddy. That can be taken care of by the writing and actors, which seems to be the case here. It also helps that the lead pair has worked previously (Sarabham, a Tamil movie). There are apparent ease and chemistry between the two.
Srikanth Nagothi has written and directed the movie. He has previously made it clear that Bhanumati Ramakrishna was made with a digital release in mind. It is not a movie meant exclusively for this platform and not the other way around.
