Jolly LLB 2 is making news, not just for the much-anticipated sequel, but also for its refreshed cast.
Arshad Warsi, who played an efficient lawyer role in the first edition, will not be reprising his famous role as he has been replaced by Khiladi Kumar aka Akshay Kumar, an entertainment site has mentioned.
While talking about the replacement to the site, Arshad said, “I am not doing it (Jolly LLB 2). Akshay is doing it. I was supposed to do it, but Fox Star Studios needed a bigger star, so they chose Akshay. It makes it easier for marketing; it makes it easier to have a hit. With me, you (the filmmakers) have to make a good film, so that is the problem. You can make money with me only if it’s a very good film!”
If you thought that Akki would retort to this in a sarcastic manner, let us tell you that the action star played it rather cool.
“I don’t have anything to say (on Arshad’s comment). Talk to producer. It is the call of the producer. Like I did Welcome and not Welcome Back but I did not feel bad. It was my franchise so should I feel bad? Even Hera Pheri now somebody else is doing,” Akshay told the site.
Phew! He sure avoided a war or words, eh?!
