We spoke to a few people, and asked them about the #BoycottBollywood trend, and here’s what they have to say…
Mehek: Bollywood needs to be boycotted not for any other reason, but for only making bad films. Some films that worked last year were good films; others were simply bad and didn’t entertain. So, till Bollywood starts making good films it should be boycotted.
Shikha: Of course, it will affect. Celebs were taking the trend very lightly and saw what happened with Laal Singh Chaddha, and other movies. One should not ignore the power of people on social media.
Ishaan: #BoycottBollywood or #DontBoycottBollywood, a film will only work if the movies are well-made. People are paying huge amounts from their pockets to watch movies in theatres, so it should be worth it.
Alisha: No trend can stop me from watching Bollywood films. These people on social media who are making #BoycottBollywood trend need a break.
Kaizad: #BoycottBollywood is trending now, so it might affect movies that are nearing the release like Kuttey and Pathaan. But, if these films are good, the audience will go and watch it.
