MUMBAI: The close friendship between Tabu and Ajay Devgn is evident anytime they appear together on screen. Their next project together is the romantic thriller Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha. They have previously worked together on films like Vijaypath, De De Pyaar De, Bholaa, Drishyam, Drishyam 2, and more.
Ajay and Tabu must have had a lot of amazing anecdotes about each other after collaborating on so many films. The actress recently revealed that she has fond memories of Ajay's fast driving. She also related an instance in which Ajay stopped her car and questioned the driver, asking if he was driving a bullock cart.

During a recent interview with the popular news portal, Tabu talked about her friendship with Ajay Devgn, saying it didn’t start on a set and "maybe that’s why it has lasted.” Recalling her college days with the actor, she said he used to drive quite fast, something that hasn’t changed over the years according to her.
According to Tabu, the only thing that has changed is that he no longer drives an open jeep, whereas he used to. When Ajay mentioned that he now drives much more slowly, Tabu shared an experience involving his fast driving and claimed that she is still afraid if he offers to drop her off.
The actress shared that one day he stopped his car and told her driver, ‘Bail gaadi chala raha hai kya? Jaldi chala. Meri gaadi peeche hai. (Are you driving a bullock cart? Drive fast, my car is behind you.)'” said Tabu quoting Ajay who said this happened 25 years ago. However, he didn't deny it and said when you are 18-19-20, you live life your way, and then you mature with more understanding of life. "This happens to everyone,” he said.
Ajay Devgn and Tabu play the key roles in Neeraj Pandey's film, which also stars Jimmy Sheirgill, Saiee Manjrekar, and Shantanu Maheshwari. The movie was originally supposed to be out on July 5, 2025, however, it was subsequently postponed over a month. It will be released in theatres on August 2, 2024.
