Valentine's Day has turned into demolition day for romance king of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan. Early in the morning at 7 am, BMC officials arrived outside SRK's palatial residence armed with their demolishing equipment and police. Under heavy bandobast, work to demolish the cement ramp kickstarted.
The ramp was being used by SRK to park his vanity van much to the chagrin of the locals who used to find it to be of great inconvenience as they couldn't access the lane with ease due to the ramp's presence.
The ramp was declared to be illegally built and many letters had been written to the BMC to demolish it but to no avail. Finally after many pleas falling in deaf ears, the locals approached BJP MP Poonam Mahajan who wrote a strongly worded letter to the commissioner of BMC demanding action.
Lo and behold, the BMC immediately issued a seven day notice asking him to demolish the ramp. The notice period ended on Thursday and since there was no action taken by SRK, BMC officials moved in to demolish the ramp.
