MUMBAI : Deepika Padukone, a Bollywood actress, has become the highest-paid actress of 2024. The actor of Kalki 2898 AD has topped the list, defeating Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Alia Bhatt, Kangana Ranaut, and Priyanka Chopra. Unexpectedly, there was not a single South Indian actress on the list.
Mom-to-be Deepika Padukone is reportedly earning between Rs. 15 and Rs. 30 crores for each film, making her the highest-paid actress in India for 2024, according to a list produced by Forbes with help by IMDb. Kangana Ranaut, the actress-turned-politician, comes after her. The actress from Emergency fees between Rs 15 and Rs 27 crores for each film. Third on the list, Priyanka Chopra Jonas is rumored to get between Rs. 15 and Rs. 25 crores for each film.
At number four was Katrina Kaif. According to reports, the Tiger 3 star charges between Rs 15 and Rs 25 crores for each film. Ranking sixth, Alia Bhatt is rumored to be seeking between Rs 10 and Rs 20 crores for each film.
Others on the list include Kareena Kapoor Khan; who reportedly charges Rs 8 crores to Rs 18 crores per movie; Shraddha Kapoor, who allegedly charges Rs 7 crores to Rs 15 crores per film; and Vidya Balan, who is believed to be paid Rs 8 crores to Rs 14 crores per film.
The Top 10 highest-paid actresses of the 2024 list comes to an end with Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi star reportedly charges Rs 8 crore to Rs 12 crore a film while the Ponniyin Selvan star asks for Rs 10 crore per film, as per the report.
Deepika and Alia are currently filming a few high-profile projects. Later this month, Deepika will appear in Kalki 2898 AD alongside Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan. In addition, she is working on a Hollywood movie, Singham 3, and a few other projects. However, Alia has another project with Sanjay Leela Bhansali signed, and Jigra is releasing this year. She will star with Vicky Kaushal and Ranbir Kapoor in the film Love and War.
