Filmmaker Sujoy Ghosh, who released his short film "Ahalya" online, is of the opinion that the digital platform can help filmmakers break new barriers and experiment with their work.

"If you want to experiment with your content, digital platform is what you need to opt," Ghosh told IANS on the sidelines of the ongoing 17th Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival.

He was on the panel of Play, a celebration of digital narrative platform.

"It gives you the freedom to express and experiment and that's what makes it unique and the future of content consumption. It's exactly why I released 'Ahalya' online," he said.
