MUMBAI: In a tragic turn of events, Hindi filmmaker Ashwini Dhir’s son Jalaj Dhir died in a horrific car accident. The incident happened in Mumbai on 23rd November in the morning. Dhir's son Jalaj and one of his friends also lost their lives in this accident.

When the accident occurred, Jalaj was in the car with his three buddies. Jalaj's companions also lost their lives in this. It has been reported that Sahil Mendha, a friend of Jalaj's, was operating the vehicle while intoxicated.
Reportedly, all four friends gathered at Jalaj's house. Jalaj and his friends were playing video games till 3.30 pm.
Sahil Menda, also 18 years old, who was driving the vehicle has been arrested. Sahil Mendha lost control of the car near Sahara Hotel in Vile Parle and the car hit the divider.
