MUMBAI: Versatile actor Mayank Gandhi will soon be seen in a Punjabi movie titled Teri Meri Gal Bann Gayi.
The debonair hunk will share screen space with renowned actors like Punit Issar, Alka Kubal, and Tej Sapru.
We got in touch with Mayank and asked him about his project, and he said, 'The movie has the potential of connecting well with the audiences. It’s a family drama that has emotions.'
On bagging a Punjabi movie, Mayank added, "It was always on my to do list because I always wanted to do films supporting my culture".
When asked about his wife Hunar’s reaction on him bagging the project, he said, 'Obviously, being my better half, she was happy and quite supportive.'
Mayank and Hunar Hale tied the knot on August 28th, 2016. The beautiful Gurudwara wedding took place at a gurudwara in New Delhi, and the couple seems madly in love with each other.
We asked the actor if the regional cinema gets the recognition that it deserves, to which he said, 'I believe Punjabi cinema is gaining recognition. That’s the reason Bollywood is also welcoming actors from the fraternity with open arms. Gippy Grewal and Daljit Dosanj are a few to surely reckon with.'
