Khiladi Akshay Kumar roots for action star, Vidyut Jammwal's Khuda Haafiz 

MUMBAI : Not long ago, the trailer of action hero Vidyut Jammwal's upcoming film, Khuda Haafiz dropped and it has been trending on YouTube ever since. There is a continuous  outpour of praises for the actor, who will be seen acing stunts, combat sequences and playing out the romantic hero in the Faruk Kabir directorial. 

One among those who conveyed their love to him was the original Khiladi of Bollywood, Akshay Kumar. He tweeted, “I’m always intrigued by true stories. A common man’s extraordinary journey to save his love....this looks very promising @VidyutJammwal , looking forward to #KhudaHaafiz” 

In reply to Kumar, Vidyut tweeted, “This story moved me and I am glad I got a chance to be a part of this journey. Thank you @akshaykumar sir, I hope you enjoy it.” 

Clearly, the wave of appreciation has risen for the Khuda Haafiz actor who has established himself as one of the best action stars of his generation. Interestingly, Akshay and Vidyut have two key things in common - they're both outsiders and they're renowned for performing stunts and fight scenes without body doubles. 

Directed and written by Faruk Kabir, Khuda Haafiz is a romantic action thriller inspired by real events. The film comprises of the journey of a helpless common man who is doing everything possible to bring his wife back home safe with him. It will be streaming on Disney Plus Hotstar on the 14th of August, 2020.
