Manyata Dutt undergoes emergency lung operation

Manyata Dutt, who was admitted to Global Hospital on Tuesday night following some lung infection, was operated on Wednesday afternoon to reportedly remove water from her lungs. She is currently under the care of cardiologist Dr. Ajay Chaughule. Sanjay Dutt who is currently out on parole was by Manyata’s side in the hospital. A couple of weeks back reports of Manyata suffering from liver cancer surfaced. It is believed that Manyata underwent a scan which revealed the presence of a tumour. It was also reported that she had breathing problems and also an irregular heartbeat. All this prompted Sanjay to apply for his second parole leave which was granted by the jail officials. As of now hospital authorities are remaining tight-lipped on Manyata’s medical condition. Sources present at the hospital reveal that several tests are being conducted on Manyata and nothing could be said about her condition until the test results are out. Meanwhile, Sanjay’s parole will come to an end on 21 January. Legal experts say that if his wife’s condition doesn’t improve he can seek an extension of his parole.
