MUMBAI :Yesterday, it was announced that Rajkumar Santoshi’s directorial Gandhi Godse - Ek Yudh will be released on 26th January 2023. So, it’s going to be Pathaan vs Gandhi Godse - Ek Yudh at the box office. While Shah Rukh Khan starrer releases a day prior, the movie will clash at the ticket windows on the same weekend.
Well, Pathaan is a huge film, and we are yet to know which actors will be seen in Gandhi Godse - Ek Yudh. But, Santoshi is a veteran director and has given many hits, so we can expect a good film from him as well.
So, before this clash takes place, let’s have a look at how Rajkumar Santoshi’s films performed at the box office when they clashed with other biggies…
Ghayal - Dil
Rajkumar Santoshi’s Ghayal starring Sunny Deol clashed with Aamir Khan starrer Dil. Both the films did really well at the box office.

Andaz Apna Apna - Suhaag
Andaz Apna Apna starring Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Raveena Tandon, and Karisma Kapoor was directed by Rajkumar Santoshi. The film clashed with Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar starrer Suhaag. Well, Andaz Apna Apna was a flop at the box office and Suhaag was a hit.
Ghatak - Raja Hindustani
Rajkumar Santoshi’s Ghatak starring Sunny Deol and Aamir Khan starrer Raja Hindustani were released on the same day, and just like Ghayal and Dil, these two films also did well at the box office.
The Legend of Bhagat Singh - 23rd March 1931: Shaheed
Two biopics on Bhagat Singh were released on the same day. The Legend of Bhagat Singh starring Ajay Devgn was directed by Santoshi and 23rd March 1931: Shaheed was a Guddu Dhanoa directorial. Well, The Legend of Bhagat Singh won the box office race.
Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani - Jail
Rajkumar Santoshi’s Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani clashed with Madhur Bhandarkar’s Jail, and the former did much better than the latter at the box office.
So, apart from Andaz Apna Apna, most of the films of Rajkumar Santoshi have done well at the box office even while clashing with other movies. So, let’s wait and watch what response Gandhi Godse - Ek Yudh will get.
