MUMBAI : Raakhee, the veteran actress whose photos are now going viral on social media, was a leading lady of the 70s and 80s, known for her versatile performances and timeless beauty. Throughout her career, she worked with top actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Dharmendra, leaving an indelible mark on the film industry.
Despite her success on screen, Raakhee's personal life has been marked by ups and downs. She has been married twice, first to Bengali journalist/film director Ajay Biswas, which ended in 1965, and then to lyricist Gulzar. Although they have not officially divorced, Raakhee and Gulzar have been living separately for many years.
Raakhee made her film debut in the Bengali film 'Badhu Bharan' in 1967 and ventured into Hindi cinema with 'Jeevan Mrityu' in 1970. Over the years, she has acted in more than 100 films, showcasing her acting prowess and versatility.
