Academy CEO Dawn Hudson said, "There has been a wide range of reactions to the introduction of a new award, and we recognize the need for further discussion with our members. We have made changes to the Oscars over the years, including this year, and we will continue to evolve while also respecting the incredible legacy of the last 90 years."

The new category was criticised by members and the public, who complained the change would be damaging to the industry by pandering to pedestrian tastes.

The 91st Oscars award ceremony will take place on 24 February.

"We are over the moon to have this beautiful baby girl in our lives and so blessed that we live in a world which makes this possible.

"As with Teddy and Charlie, we ask that you respect Coco's privacy and allow us to grow into our new team of 5!"

Also, Williams and her Hunter Foundation have launched a campaign called Be Here, which will serve to combat drug and substance abuse.

Earlier this year, she was diagnosed with Graves' disease which made her learn how to take better care of herself.
