MUMBAI: After the super success of The Kashmir Files, Vivek Agnihotri has become one of the biggest directors in the Indian film industry. Moviegoers are eagerly waiting for his upcoming movies and one of them is The Vaccine War. The movie was announced a few hours ago and it will be released on Independence Day 2023. The Vaccine War will be released in 11 languages including Hindi, English, Gujarati, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu and other regional languages.
While announcing the film and the release date, Vivek Agnihotri tweeted, “ANNOUNCEMENT: Presenting ‘THE VACCINE WAR’ - an incredible true story of a war that you didn’t know India fought. And won with its science, courage & great Indian values. It will release on Independence Day, 2023. In 11 languages. Please bless us. #TheVaccineWar.”
Well, The Vaccine War won’t be getting a solo release. It will be clashing with Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, and Rashmika Mandanna starrer Animal. The movie is being directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga who had earlier helmed the Shahid Kapoor starrer Kabir Singh.
Interesting this year, two highest grossing Hindi films are of Ranbir and Vivek Agnihotri, Brahmastra and The Kashmir Files. And now, they will be clashing at the box office next year. Animal has been postponed a couple of times, so it will be interesting to see whether this clash will happen or it will be averted.
Independence Day is a big Holiday, and earlier many films have clashed during that weekend. While sometimes just one film did well, sometimes both the movies performed decently at the box office. So, let’s wait and watch what will be the situation with The Vaccine War and Animal.
