Theft of over Rs1 crore at Satish Kaushik's house

In what can be termed as a script straight out of a Bollywood potboiler, cash to the tune of Rs 1 crore and more was stolen from actor-director Satish Kaushik's residence on Sunday. Satish's domestic help Sajan Kumar who is absconding right now is being suspected as the main culprit. Satish promptly launched a complaint with Versova police station late on Sunday night. Police sources were quoted saying that a sum of around Rs. 1.2 crore has gone missing. It is also believed that Satish had received the money for his official work and he had planned to deposit it in the bank on Monday. Satish had reportedly left the bag containing the money unattended in his living room and Sajan fled away with the bag in the afternoon when no one was around. The servant Sajan Kumar is believed to be a native of Jharkhand and had joined work at Satish's concern recently. Satish had unfortunately not registered his details with the police. Satish couldn't be reached for his comments. We sent him a text but didn't get a reply. Let's hope the absconding offender is brought to book soon.
