MUMBAI : Sanjay Mishra is known for his amazing comic timing, but the actor is currently garnering praise for his performance in a thriller titled Vadh. The movie, which also stars Neena Gupta, has hit the big screens today, and it has received fantastic reviews.
TellyChakkar recently interacted with Sanjay Mishra and spoke to him about the credibility attached to his name, upcoming projects, and more…
Today, one cannot predict which film will work at the box office and which will become a flop. In this scenario, the makers of Vadh are risking and releasing the film in theatres. Does that make you happy?
Yes, they are taking risks and that’s good. The thinking of the audience is also changing.
There’s credibility attached to your name that if Sanjay Mishra is a part of the film it will be a good movie. Does that put pressure on you while signing a film?
This time I want to put pressure on society that if you trust good actors like us then please go to cinema halls. If you come and watch us then there will be more filmmakers who will cast us. Our films are not made on a budget of Rs. 100, 200, or 300 crores, it’s made on a limited budget because even the person who is putting money into the film thinks and invests in it. So, now, the audience can answer this question properly.
Tell us something about your upcoming projects…
I just have one film (Cirkus) coming. But, I am also working with some people that I can’t reveal. So, that’s why I am quiet.
