Viacom 18 Motion Pictures to co-produce Akshay Kumar-starrer Gabbar with Sanjay Leela Bhansali

Viacom18 Motion Pictures has, in association with Sanjay Leela Bhansali Productions (SLB Productions), has decided to produce the next Akshay Kumar starrer Gabbar. This will be their second outing together after the Priyanka Chopra-starrer Mary Kom's biopic that is yet untitled. Gabbar is a remake of a Tamil blockbuster Ramana and is to be directed by Krish of Vedam and Gam Yam fame while the Mary Kom Biopic is being directed by Omung Kumar. “We are pleased to partner with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and proud to add Gabbar and Mary Kom to our slate. While the Mary Kom team is already shooting, Gabbar is expected to go on floors later this year (2013). The upcoming releases of Viacom18 are Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Madras Cafe, Queen and Boss.
