MUMBAI: It’s official! Wedding bells are going to ring for Rhea Kapoor, who will tie the knot with her boyfriend, Karan Boolani today (August 14). 

Rhea Kapoor is the younger daughter of Bollywood veteran Anil Kapoor and jewellery designer Sunita Kapoor. Actors Sonam Kapoor and Harshvardhan Kapoor are Rhea's siblings.

Rhea Kapoor's wedding will be an intimate ceremony with only family and close friends in attendance. As per a source, "The ceremonies will take place for two to three days and the wedding will happen at Anil Kapoor's residence in Juhu, Mumbai. Since Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja are here in Mumbai, the family thought it best to have the wedding in the city.".

Rhea Kapoor and Karan Boolani have been dating each other for 13 years now and have never shied away from expressing their love for each other on social media. They often take trips together and share pictures with each other. Karan has been photographed with the Kapoors on several occasions, including family functions.

Apart from being a film producer, Rhea is also a stylist. The sister-duo also runs an apparel brand called 'Rheson', which was launched in 2017. 

Rhea, who has produced Aisha (2010), Khoobsurat (2014) and Veere Di Wedding (2018), earlier talked about the challenges of being a female producer in a male-dominated industry. “When I started to work, I was faced with a lot of patronising attitudes like, ‘She is just here playing film-film. She is not really serious about it'. Or that I was stupid or I didn’t know what I was talking about and if I face that as Anil Kapoor’s daughter, I can’t imagine what other women go through. You feel very demotivated because making a film is anyway a mammoth task.”, she said on Kareena Kapoor Khan’s chat show What Women Want.

Karan Boolani worked as an assistant director with Rhea Kapoor on the 2010 film Aisha, which starred Sonam Kapoor in the lead role.
