Dedh Ishqiya, one of the most anticipated films of 2014, has set its unique position by being the first film to launch their trailer on Facebook, in association with EveryMedia Technologies.
The association ensures a wider reach of audience, to the already strong viewership the film enjoys. Dedh Ishqiya, a sequel to the 2010 hit Ishqiya, marks the return of Bollywood diva Madhuri Dixit to the silver screen. The trailer launch on Facebook clearly shows the exploratory side of the film’s marketers to initiate unique and new trends in promoting the film. Says Gautam Thakker, CEO of EveryMedia Technologies, “We are lucky that both Facebook and Shemaroo, were determined for the unique launch and break the standard norms of trailer launches in movie marketing.”
Mansi Maroo from Shemaroo says “We have planned the promotion and marketing strategy of Dedh Ishqiya in sync with its unique subject, content and title, with a clear focus on the Hindi belt as the film is based in a town near Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. The Facebook launch is certainly one of the key highlights of our plan to promote the film.”
The trailer of the film will be live on Facebook exclusively for 24 hours, before releasing on other online social properties.
Dedh Ishqiya stars Naseeruddin Shah, Arshad Warsi, Madhuri Dixit, Huma Qureshi and Vijay Raaz. Produced by Raman Maroo and Vishal Bharadwaj, the film is directed by Abhishek Chaubey.
