The whole of the Mumbai television fraternity has been gearing up to provide their little help to the Chennai Flood Relief Mission. Yesterday we reported about Vikas Gupta and Nivedita Basu forming a committee to help for the cause.
Now we hear that the fervour of working towards this cause has rubbed on to the younger group of actors too. Leading the way in this mission in her own small way is actress Sonam Lamba, who essays the role of Vidya in Star Plus’ popular show, Saath Nibhana Saathiya (Rashmi Sharma Productions).
Sources from the set of her show claim that the girl has taken a pledge to help Chennai people by donating the shoot money she earns for two days in a week.
Sonam Lamba who plays the daughter of Ahem and Gopi on the show seemed to be tight-lipped about this move of hers, as she does not want any publicity.
However, when probed a lot, she commented to Tellychakkar.com, “I don’t prefer showing it off whenever I donate something for the needy. Being human, I am doing this to help the people in Chennai, and not to gain publicity.”
Bravo girl!!
