Good news for the fans of Sweta Bhattacharya!
The talented actress, who was last seen in Tumi Robe Nirobe, has been roped in to play the lead in Zee Bangla’s upcoming serial Jarowar Jhumko.
Produced by Blues Production, the soap is based on jewelry. It is about jewelry makers/designers and the people for whom the jewellers make the jewelries.
When Tellychakkar.com contacted Sweta, she shared about her role in the serial, “I am playing the lead role of Jhumko, who is not afraid to protest against injustice.”
“This is the first time that a serial on jewelry is being made in Bengali television,” she added.
In the last few months, Sweta was not seen on the small screen on a daily basis.
When asked to share the reasons, she quipped, “After Tumi Robe Nirobe, I had an operation so, I was asked to take bed rest. Once I was cured, I started waiting for dada’s (Snehasish Chakraborty of Blues Production) call. With his production house, this is my third project. Blues has become my family. That’s why even after the operation I will be able to work with the house without any issues. Dada is like God; you share your problem with him and it gets solved.”
“Whatever I have achieved so far, it’s only because of him. Jhil (deaf and mute character in Tumi Robe Nirobe) was my dream role and now I am glad to play a character like Jhumko. Thanks a lot to dada and also Zee Bangla,” she added with a smile.
Way to go, young girl!
