Golden Globe 2012 TV nominations: New shows score over old ones

The Hollywood Press Association announced the nominations for its 2012 edition of the Golden Globe Awards. And there were quite a few new shows being nominated while older shows also managed to get snagged for a nomination. Amongst the new series nominated are Homeland, which received nominations for drama series, best actress (Claire Danes) and best actor (Damian Lewis). Game of Thrones, New Girl and American Horror Story are among the other new shows which have got nominations. However, older shows such as Boardwalk Empire?, Glee?, Modern Family?, 30 Rock are among the older shows which have got nominations. Their fate will be known at the Golden Globes 2012 gala which is to be held on 15 January in a Beverly Hills Hotel.
