NETFLIX LEADS NOMINATIONS FOR 2020 GOLDEN GLOBES

Netflix leads the field with the most nominations for any studio for the 2020 Golden Globes, with a staggering 34 nominations across all categories. Three out of the five contenders for the Best Motion Picture Drama are Netflix Originals, with The Irishman, Marriage Story and The Two Popes in the fray to win the highest honour. 
 
The Noah Baumbach film, Marriage Story, released on the service on 6 December, 2019, and leads the field with 6 nominations across categories, closely followed by the Martin Scorcese gangster saga The Irishman with 5 nominations. The Two Popes (film), Unbelievable and The Crown (both series) have bagged 4 nominations each. 
 
Netflix has bagged 17 nominations each for films and series, with particular fan favourites such as The Crown in the running. The 77th Golden Globes will be held on 6 January, 2020.
