Vahbiz Dorabjee: The higher you go, the lonelier you get

MUMBAI: Actor Vahbiz Dorabjee has been part of the industry since a while now and has had her share of ups and downs. While the actor has loved every part of her success, she feels that every successful move in the industry isolates you from your peers. “The best part is obviously the success, the fame and the love of the audience. The worst part is when you get success, fame and the love of the audience, there are really very few people who will cheer for you. The higher you go, the lonelier you get,” says Vahbiz.

The actor says that she has never really relied on only TV fiction shows where her career is concerned. “TV has this phenomenon of out of sight, out of mind. But that's the thing with me, I have never been a TV actor totally. I have diversified myself as a social media influencer, I also anchor. So, I have been everywhere,” she says.

The actor hasn’t been part of a fiction show for a while. She says that this is because she is very specific about the kind of content, she wants to be part of. “I have been very choosy and particular about my work. There should be something good for me to take up. I am also working a lot towards digital marketing, so am busy with that as well. But I am open to good work,” she says.

Talking about the kind of work she wants to do in the future, she says, “I want to be part of shows that come in Netflix, or short films or web series. I want to do more of web-based shows. I want to do different, versatile and strong roles.”
