While talking to team Tellychakkar (we must add he is very intelligent), he was talking on how newbies should prepare themselves to make a mark in the world of entertainment. And we thought why not share his thoughts with everyone. So over to Gautam…enjoy!!! “I have been in the industry for more than eight years now. So when I see the newbies, I feel they need to take certain things into consideration. As an actor, they should constantly upgrade their acting skills. I, in my earlier days, would watch movies, take down scenes and dialogues, enact with friends and then show it to someone who knew about the art of acting. So, you have to put in that extra effort to excel. Furthermore, newcomers today come with a lot of training. But I think the real learning comes on facing the camera. Every time you face the camera, you learn something new. Apart from that, one needs to stay really fit and healthy. This helps to increase the shelf life of an actor. And that is not it. There is one other very important thing. It is not an unknown fact that exploitation is rampant in the industry. No matter who you are or how big you are, problems in terms of monetary issues (payment) can always crop up. So, to stay guard against it, take these two things into account; Firstly, never go to the sets until the contract has been signed. Secondly, always maintain a CINTAA diary wherein make sure to enter the following data; day of shoot, call time, in time, out time, per day and due date (payment). And make sure it has been signed by the concerned authorities from the production house you have been working with. And finally, never go for short cuts.
