MUMBAI: TellyChakkar.com broke the news of Zee TV show Hamari Bahu Silk's cast and crew facing severe non-payment issues since the entire tenure of the show. The distressed cast and crew opinionated that they may resort to ending their lives, if their payments are not made.

The news got viral and the cast and crew received support from many celebrities. However, there have been no responses or updates on their payments until now.

This isn't the first time things have gone unexpectedly wrong. Take a look at the list of actors who have faced a similar issue:

Shilpa Shinde

The actress faced a payment issue while working for comedy TV serial Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hai and it was reported that the production house owed her Rs 32 lacs.

Shailesh Lodha

Known for his character in TMKOC, when time came for him to leave the show, the actor filed a case against Asit Modi for non-payment of dues.

Meera Deosthale

Meera Deosthale is one of the most loved actress from the Hindi tv serial industry and won everyone's heart with her performance in Kuch Reet Jagat Ki Aisi Bhi. The actress recently made headlines where talking about her case from her show 'Vidya' she claimed “The show ended in March 2020, and I am still waiting for my pending dues. The production house owes me `3,78,000. The original amount was around `8 lakh and only a portion of it was cleared after I approached CINTAA in July 2022.

Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal

Another cast member of TMKOC had a similar issue with the production house and filed a lawsuit against them and even won the case.

Ali Merchant

Actor Ali Merchant faced a similar situation as his payment was held up for months. It was the reason why he chose to leave the industry.
