TellyChakkar.com managed to get in touch with the handsome lad and quizzed him on the same. He said, “Quitting is quite a harsh term, let’s put it like my track has ended in the show, which can be temporary. I believe Atharva has been utilised enough in the show. I started the show as an innocent guy then regressed to become the negative character post which I got to play a five-year-old child to playing rarest of rare role of a transgender. What more can Atharva do? I can't be doing monotonous character just because I want to earn. It has been two years of my association with the show and anything more from Atharva's end would bore the audience. Having said that, the production house has not ended the chapter, the doors have been kept open and they would call me whenever they require Atharva and I’ll love to come back to the show if I won’t be bound by commitments”.

Speaking about his bonds with the actors, he said, “We are all like a family. Sehban was like an elder brother to me, he used to guide me throughout to keep my anger in check as I’m a bit impulsive. Reem is one intelligent child. She is one of the few actors who never craves for holidays. She loves to work and be on set. She’s quite disciplined and gives work a lot of value. The entire team used to have lunch together. We used to be on same page while performing a scene. Poorva Gokhle jee is my favourite actor from the sets, I enjoyed every scene with her. We had such experienced actress Savita Prabhune. All of us were focused and knew what to do and that’s how we delivered better than people’s expectations. I would also like to mention the production house Full House Media, they had a lot of confidence in me that I’ll be able to pull off all the challenges and that helped me prepare and perform my character better. The faith that they’ve shown in me and Atharva is phenomenal”.

He concluded, “In totality it was an enriching experience to be a part of show and you never know, Atharva Bapat might just return in yet another wicked avatar. Until then stay tuned”.

Fans and audience will surely miss Shagun in the show, here’s wishing the dapper man all the best for his future endeavours.

Stay tuned to this space for more updates.
