MUMBAI: Rubina Dilaik, who is the winner of Bigg Boss 14, is making a comeback to Shakti - Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki, which is currently one of the most popular shows. Rubina is not the first one do something like this. There have been quite a few such instances before too. So here’s a list of actors who have made a comeback in shows post their exits:

Rubina Dilaik: Rubina Dilaik who played a strong lead in Shakti - Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki, is returning to the show after more than a year. The actress had earlier quit the show because of the change in storyline, which was the requirement of the show then. Now Rubina is returning to the show in the same character as ‘Saumya Singh’.

Smriti Irani: Now a politician and then a popular actress, Smriti Irani won hearts as Tulsi, the ideal bahu of TV in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. Allegedly, Smriti had a fallout with producer Ekta Kapoor and quit the show. She was replaced by Gautami Kapoor who could not garner the same amount of love from fans as Tulsi. This left the production house and makers with no other choice but to bring Smriti back to the show.
Sunil Grover: Popular actor-comedian Sunil Grover who won hearts with his various comic roles ranging from ‘Gutthi’ to ‘Mr Gulati’ made a comeback on Comedy Nights With Kapil after his own show failed to do well enough on TV. The comedian had initially left the show owing to a fallout with the production house.
Karan Singh Grover: Karan became the heartthrob of the youth as Dr Armaan in Dill Mill Gayye. He garnered lots of love from his young fans with his character but his decision to part ways with the show and character didn’t go well with his fans. Following which he had to return to the show after his fans flooded the makers with hateful messages, and they had to finally bring him back.
Kavita Kaushik: Kavita aka Chandramukhi Chautala from FIR was loved as the cop lady. So much so that her exit from the show led to a major drop in the ratings after her exit in 2013. The reason she cited her exit was that she wanted to try different roles on TV and even joined the show Tota weds Maina soon. But the show didn’t gather much attention and viewership and shut within a span of three months. This gave the makers of FIR a chance to convince Kavita to return and so she did.
Rashami Desai: Rashami Desai, who was a part of Uttaran ever since the beginning, had quit the show as she didn’t agree to play a mother to a grown-up daughter in the show with the evolving storyline in March 2012. Moreover, she was quite unhappy with her character’s negativity which made her decision even stronger. Later, in November 2012, she returned to the show.
