And now, we would like to come forward and wish a very happy birthday to Rajan Shahi, one of the finest producers in the world of Indian television. He is the founder of Director’s Kut Productions and over the years, he has produced some of the finest shows on Hindi television. Rajan entered the world of entertainment as an assistant to producer Ravi Rai. He was actively involved in the creative process of famous serials like Sailaab and Thoda Hai Thode Ki Zaroorat Hai. He moved on and wore the director’s hat in the year 1999 with Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahin. After directing path-breaking shows like Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahi, Hamare Tumhare, Rishtey, Kareena Kareena, Reth, Saat Phere, Mamtaa, Millee, Virasaat and Saathi Re he went on to launch his own production house, Director’s Kut, in 2007. His first production Bidaai not only gained the numbers but also impressed the critics. Currently, his ongoing shows Kuch Toh Log Kahenge (Sony), Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (Star Plus) and Amrit Manthan (Life OK), are watched avidly by TV lovers all across the globe. On his birthday, the talented man said, “Well, it’s a wonderful birthday. Since the last two days, my old friends from the industry have been giving me surprises. In fact, yesterday, we partied till the wee hours of the morning. I am also very happy that so many people from the fraternity as well as fans wished me.” You deserve all the love and appreciation, Rajan…have a rocking year ahead!!!
