Balika Vadhu has not been fetching the desired numbers for the past few weeks despite bringing in a new character, Teepri. However now, the makers have decided to bring in a new twist in the tale by introducing a new character in the forthcoming episodes. A source from the show says, “Navika Kotian, a 10-year-old has been short listed to play Teepri’s daughter. We have been auditioning for this character for the past week. Navika gave a look test and has signed the papers. She is expected to start shooting in a day or two and by this weekend her character will be on air. Her character will be shown studying in a neighbouring village and happens to meet few of the family members during a competition. We are still to finalise the name of this character.” It’s sure going to make things ugly for Teepri (Sakshi Tanwar) as she has been lying to Maasa (Surekha Sikri) about her husband leaving her for not giving an heir to his family!
