MUMBAI: Over the last 3 decades, Zee TV has been instrumental in providing Indian youth with a global platform to showcase their singing, dancing, and acting talent. The channel’s most iconic dance reality show, Dance India Dance revolutionized the landscape of dance in the country when it first began to air in 2009 by introducing us to some truly exceptional dancers and never-before-seen dance styles. Over the last 13 years, the platform has stood testimonial to the sheer passion and love that India holds in its heart towards dance. After giving the audiences a glimpse of this year’s mind-blowing talent in the first episode, Zee TV has recently launched the new season of its immensely popular reality show for the youngest dancing talent in the country- L’il Masters.

This weekend, the much-awaited Dance India Dance L’il Masters audition episode will bring in a surprising treat for its audience! Amongst all the talented contestants, the audience will also get to witness 8-year-old Himanshu who put up a rather stunning performance for the judges leaving them in awe of his talent.

However, what really touched their heart was the tough journey that brought this young Delhi boy to the stage. Himanshu lost his father at a very young stage and has been raised by his mom since then. Being a single mother of 2, she started riding a rickshaw to feed them and to support their dreams. To do so, she had to take a huge amount of loan to buy the rickshaw and create a constant source of income. Often, she was trolled and harassed by people on the road for being a female rickshaw driver. Looking at the struggles of this single mother, who is sacrificing everything for her kids be it her safety and her respect in society, Remo D’Souza decided to support her by paying off her loan.

Talking about the same, Remo mentioned, “I would love to help you with this EMI that you’re paying for your rickshaw. Please let me know the amount that is pending, I will pay it off. I don’t want you or Himanshu to stress about it anymore, now that rickshaw is yours.  You focus on the kids now and live a happy life after this.”

Well, Remo really helped Himanshu and his mother by taking the responsibility off their shoulders. It’s not only Himanshu’s struggle that made the judges emotional but also Anand Kumar, who comes from a small village in Delhi with big dreams in his life. He is a son of a vegetable vendor and was always teased by his friends in the school that his father sells vegetables on the streets. There once came a time during the pandemic when he had to leave his school because of a financial crisis in the family. But his family did everything and anything to support his dream of becoming a dancer and did not stop him from taking his dance classes. Well, such parents have a special place in our hearts.

No wonder, judge Mouni Roy got teary-eyed after she heard how Anand’s family stood by him and supported him despite the atrocities they faced during the pandemic. While Himanshu and Anand’s performances are definitely going to capture your attention, wait till you see some of the marvelous performances put up by the other contestants of the show.

To witness more such performances, tune into, India's Dance Ke Baap on DID L’il Masters, on 19th March, Saturday at 9 PM, only on Zee TV!
