Mumbai rains are erratic; one moment it showers, the next it’s all dry and sunny. The fluctuation does spoil the mood and leads to change in plans.
Something similar happened recently on the sets of Star Plus’ Pyaar Ka Dard Hai…Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara (Rajshri Productions).
Tellychakkar.com came across a tweet of Nakuul Mehta (the lead in the show) which read: “We decide to shoot a rain sequence cause its d perfect weather & on the day, the clouds refuse to relent. Shot with tanker water. #Tragic”
Looks like someone is irritated with the weather playing truant.
Furthermore, as our sources from the set informed, “With a lot of dramatic sequences lined up featuring Dadaji (Tellychakkar had already done a story on this), the director thought that the intensity could be magnified by capturing of the rains. But on the day of the shoot (yesterday), the rain Gods decided to take a day off. Finally, we had to go ahead with the shoot with the help of a tanker.”
As reported, the cast and crew were left disheartened and disappointed. The producers who must have thought that they would use the natural rain got a pinch in their pockets.
We tried contacting the cast of the show, but they remained unavailable for comment.
‘Mumbai rains are to enjoy not depend upon,” advises Tellychakkar.com.
