MUMBAI: Mrinal Dutt has been a part of many TV shows, movies and OTT series. He was recently seen in Jio Cinema’s Ishq-E-Nadaan and Ishq Next Door.

TellyChakkar recently interacted with Mrinal and spoke to him about the characters that attract him, if he is a romantic person in real-life and more...

As an actor, what kinds of roles attract you?

I think humans are very flawed and our emotions are always heavy on us. So, such characters excite me a lot. The character can be anything, like an Army officer or a business man or someone else. But the inner conflict aspect has to be written well. Either he is a Prime Minister or a man staying on the road, everyone has an emotional conflict that goes inside them. So, I would like to play characters which are sensitively portrayed to explore human emotions.

Are you a romantic person in real life, and if you are in a relationship, what kind of a boyfriend are you?

I am very Aashiq Mizaaj kind of a person. I don’t know if I am a good boyfriend though; I have been told I am not a great boyfriend. But, I would like to believe that I am a good human being and a good friend. I don’t know about being a boyfriend, but I am very romantic about people’s lives, the world, mountains, good weather and food.

Tell us something about your upcoming projects.

I have two more series coming up. Ishq E Nadaan is here at Jio Cinema. I have done Swatantra Veer Savarkar with Randeep Hooda. So, yes I have these few projects.
