Naushad's Idol journey rudely cut short!

Eighteen-year-old Naushad Ali Kawa from Jaipur is the latest evictee of Indian Idol 5. Sad, considering he was one of the very talented contestants and was even named as the singer of the week in last night’s gala episode. Looks like, the public is hard of hearing good, gifted singers. His elimination will happen tonight. Our source from the show says, "It was the channel’s strategy to have elimination on Tuesday instead of Monday. Naushad was one of the best singers and it was an unexpected blow for him. He was little upset after hearing the results. Meanwhile composer Amit Trivedi and singer lyricist Amitabh Bhattacharya were the special guests on the show for tonight’s episode. They were impressed with performances of all the contestants. They also promoted their upcoming movie Udaan.” The buzz is next week cricketers Yusuf Pathan and Munaf Patel will be on the show for the Monday episode.
