Manoj Bajpai to play Arun Gawli in Sanjay Gupta's next Shootout franchise

Having played the role of a gangster in umpteen films, Manoj Bajpai is gearing up to don the character of yet another mobster on the silver screen. He has recently been signed to play the role of the infamous gangster Arun Gawli for Sanjay Gupta's upcoming installment of the Shootout franchise. It is being said that the actor has been asked to go through the life history of the gangster so that it is easier for him to slip into the character. According to sources, the film would also star John Abraham and Abhishek Bachchan. Both these actors would essay the part of hardcore cops. It is almost finalized that Abhishek’s role has been inspired by Vijay Salaskar. Trying to get as close to his character, Gupta’s team had a chance to interact with Gawli, when they were shooting for Satya at Dagdi Chawl, Gawli’s home land years ago. It is being speculated that Gupta and Bajpai may seek special permission to meet Gawli in jail to gather various aspects of his life.
