On his birthday, Tellychakkar.com talks to Vishal who shares his Yeh Hai Aashiqui experience

Vishal Singh
Actor Vishal Singh has been living the role of Jigar in Star Plus’ successful show Saath Nibhana Saathiya for four years now. After playing father to twins on the show, it is now time for the actor to go young yet again and portray a role which suits his age. Well, his loyal fans will see him playing an emotional lover in UTV Bindass’ Yeh Hai Aashiqui (Lost Boy Productions and BBC Worldwide Productions) this weekend. He plays the character of Anmol, a guy who has been detected with a heart disease from his childhood. As per his doctors, he can live only up to a certain age. With time ticking over, Anmol is madly in love with Komal (Abigail Jain). And the girl is head-over-heels in love with Anmol. Touching, isn’t it? It was indeed an emotionally gratifying experience for Vishal too playing this role. And today being his birthday, Tellychakkar.com had a hearty chat with the man. Says Vishal, “First of all thanks a lot for wishing me. Talking about Yeh Hai Aashiqui, it was indeed a great experience, that too after playing Jigar for many years. The story is so touching and emotional, with the characters beautifully etched. The lines in fact made me go emotional, and there have been times when I have shed tears reading the script.” On his experience of playing a role of his age, Vishal with a smile on his face avers, “Yes, finally I got to play my age. I had to simply shave my beard to look my age. Frankly speaking, playing the elder Jigar is tough for me than playing my own age.” Vishal will go on to be the sacrificial lover in the episodic story. “The guy very well knows that he does not have much time left with him. He knows his weaknesses, wherein he cannot run and walk briskly for a long time. In order to get to the jaws of death earlier than time, he takes a big challenge in life which he is sure to lose. However, by losing the challenge he wants to make sure that his girl Komal moves on in life and leads a happy life. You will have to see this heart-wrenching love story to realize the boy’s pain and sacrifice.” Vishal has few special words for Producer and friend Vikas Gupta. “He is a genius and is a master at creating love stories. Vikas has proved it again that he has a great creative mind. I personally took up this role for Vikas. Also, when he narrated the character to me, I was in love with Anmol. I have heard that the opening episode of Yeh Hai Aashiqui has rated well, and I pray that the show only gets bigger as it progresses.” The love story featuring Vishal Singh, Abigail Jain and Siddharth Arora will air this Sunday, 8 September 2013 on UTV Bindass. And on his birthday, he partied with his industry friends last night and will take his family out on dinner tonight. He thanked all his fans for all the love and support. Stay blessed…Vishal!!!
