YRF signs Humaima Malick to star opposite Emraan Hashmi in Shaatir

Yash Raj Films has signed Pakistani model and actor Humaima Malick to star opposite Emraan Hashmi in Kunal Deshmukh's forthcoming Shaatir. With this the Karachi-based Humaima becomes the first cross-border actress to snap up an A-grade film opposite a leading Bollywood star. Humaima is currently shooting in Mumbai for a role that is meaty and will re-affirm her acting prowess as was the case in her film with Shoaib Mansoor. Illaiyaraja's son is expected to debut as music composer with this film. Humaima is best known for portraying leading role in serials Ishq Junoon Deewangi, Tanveer Fatima (B.A), Talluq and Akbari Asghari. Incidentally, Humaima made her film debut in 2011 with Shoaib Mansoor's Bol which was first highest-grossing Pakistani film of all time.
