This industry survives on the element of luck – Nikita Sharma

Of late, Nikita Sharma, the lead of Life OK’s Do Dil... Ek Jaan has not been in news. Are you curious to know what the pretty actress is up to these days? Well, hear it from her!!! Says Nikita, “I am busy learning Bollywood style of dance from Saroj Khan these days. I feel she is an awesome master and with the energy that she imparts and her knowledge on the art, she not only helps us improve ourselves as dancers but also gives us good flexibility. Since I am a model too, I am quite busy with those assignments too.” The charming Nikita, who owned a bakery shop in Delhi, was motivated by her friends to take up modelling, and with the blessings of her family, she moved to Mumbai. Here she got an opportunity to showcase her talent in Channel V’s The Serial and then Life OK’s Do Dil Ek Jaan happened. Currently she is brushing up her modeling and dancing skills and is waiting for an offer that will hopefully have her in the role of a Delhi-Punjabi girl, as that is something which comes naturally to her. “This industry survives on the element of luck. Destiny and passion follow it,” Nikita avers. The beautiful lady is not very keen to take the plunge on the silver screen. “The thing is that in the television industry, you become a household name. I would like to say that people still know me by the name of Antara (her character’s name in Do Dil Ek Jaan). On the other hand there is no guarantee of recognition in films as they come and go. However if a good role comes my way, I will definitely take it up but will not limit myself to doing films only,” she adds. Taking her thought further, the beautiful Nikita talked about her plans of traveling to a new place in the near future. “Well, I am from Delhi and haven’t explored much of India. I plan to fly down to Goa on 9 February and have some good time with friends. It is the first time that I would be going to Goa and I am looking forward to having an overwhelming experience there as I have heard a lot about that place.” May you get your dream role soon, Nikita!!
