Hrithik Roshan out of Shuddhi; Ranveer Singh could be the replacement

Shuddhi, a movie that could have brought back ex-lovers Hrithik and Kareena back together onscreen, will never happen now with Hrithik too, opting out of the project. In an official statement released by Hrithik, the actor confirmed that he's no longer a part of the ambitious project. Reproduced below is the official statement- Karan Malhotra and I have decided to unite in the most ambitious way post Shuddhi. For now I cannot allow a vision like Shuddhi to stagnate any further. I had the finest experience an actor can have working with Karan M in Agneepath and I'm sure both my dear Karans are going to go beyond with this one! Shuddhi remains a part of me in spirit & am sure it will be a landmark in our cinema. I wish them all the best. With both Hrithik and Kareena opting out of the movie, speculations are now rife that both actors could be replaced by Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh. Sources reveal that the rumoured couple has been approached by the makers for the same. Well, all we can say is one man's loss is another's gain. Right Ranveer!!!
