Ear pain for Sa Re Ga Ma.. girls

It takes great pain to triumph in any reality show. Our pretty girls on Zee's Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2007 are beginning to feel it. Not only are they being weighed down by the fan expectations, it's the weight of their approximately 10 cm-heavy earrings that's causing them pain. Mauli Dave and Sumedha Karmahe shared their grievances with us. Poonam Jatau was unavailable for comment.

"My earrings do bother me at times as they tend to be a little heavy. It does cause me little pain but we have no option. We merely wear whatever our designers tell us. However, I must admit that the load of these earrings is nothing in comparison to the outfit and heavy jewellery that I wore while doing Bharatnatyam and other traditional Indian dance," reveals Mauli Dave The other contestant Sumedha Karmahe adds, "It pains but I've got used to them now. When you're on screen you are required to look glamourous. If looking glamourous demands you to wear these earrings, then you have no choice but to do as told by your costume designer. The question of complaining just doesn't arise." Right said Sumedha, no gains without pains!
