As an actor, the biggest treat is to play different characters - Rashi Mal

Rashi Mal
With the popular show Paanch: 5 Wrongs Make A Right recently wrapping up its shoot, we decided to get talking to the much loved Rashi Mal, seen as the evil Gauri in the above Sunshine Productions show (Channel V). Talking about her on screen journey, the fiery girl stated, “It has been an amazing journey and since most of us were new in the show, we had a great learning experience. All of us actually feel overwhelmed with the entire professional and personal experience. We all shared the same wavelength. It was less of work and more of fun.” With so much bonding and warmth, won’t she miss the team? “Honestly, the feeling is yet to sink in. Of course, we did cry a lot and the feeling that we won’t get back to the sets again hurts a lot. I have brought home Gauri’s costume as a souvenir.” Rashi earned a lot of acclamation from viewers even when she played a negative role. When we asked her on the same, she smiled, “It’s actually very surprising that Gauri’s character clicked so well with the audience. Mostly young girls look up to the character and message me that they want to become like Gauri. I think it’s the strength of the character as a person that makes them look up to her.” Now that the show’s shoot is over, we asked the lovely girl what’s jotted in her book of plans. “It’s too early to even think about it as I would like to take a break first. I don’t want to limit myself to any boundary for as an actor, the biggest treat is to play different characters and I would love to do a lot of experiment.” Also being a dancer, we asked Rashi whether she would like to do roles that would give her a chance to showcase that part of her talent. “Most definitely. Apart from dance and acting, I also sing. I have in my own capacity tried to present all three talented sides of mine through plays and dance theatres. And someday I would love to do that for cameras too,” she concluded. We hope to see that soon, rockstar!!!
