MUMBAI: Star Plus has ventured into unexplored territory. Star Plus’s show Maati Se Bandhi Dor, stars Rutuja Bagwe and Ankit Gupta in lead roles. Rutuja Bagwe will be seen essaying the roles of Vaijanati (Vaiju) and Ankit Gupta to portray the character of Rannvijay in the show. Maati Se Bandhi Dor also delves into the complexities of relationships and the diversity of the local culture.

Vaiju prays to the gods as it is her birthday, but her family members ignore her and come from behind. Although she hopes for their wishes, they don't.
Vaiju is upset as she leaves to which Ranvijay reassures her that they don't have to hurt her. Jaya tells him not to worry, that this is all just a surprise for her.
Vaiju asks them as to why they are not Wishing her to which they tells her that she is
growing Old hence there is no need for it. Vaiju remembers Durga and Cries.
Vaiju is surprised and feels loved when she sees her birthday party. When Ranvijay sings for her, Jaya gets very angry with him.
Vaiju gets humiliated by Sulekha after Vasundhara gives her a gold gift. Vaiju cries after hearing her. However, after bringing Vaiju to his room, Ranvijay grants her permission to enter whenever she would like.
