These jodis have been romancing and loving each other cosily and together they have been your love idol. So vote for them and make them win! (Names arranged alphabetically). Aditya-Pankhuri (Pyaar Ka Dard Hai) – The pair from the Star Plus’ romantic show (Rajshri Productions) got the chance to start their love story from the beautiful locales of Kulu Manali. And when the start was so good, how could love not blossom tenderly. With some initial ‘takrars’, the pair played by the lovely Disha Parmar and Nakuul Mehta later ‘ikraar’ed and now the going is quite smooth. Let’s see what the New Year will bring out for this pair. Akbar-Jodha (Jodha-Akbar) – This is one love story on Zee TV that has been written in history. The pair of a Mughal king marrying a Rajput princess was made immoral by Ashutosh Gowarikar’s film, and now the good looking Rajat Tokas and Paridhi Sharma are doing the same on the small screen. Of screen they might not be talking to each other, but on-screen their chemistry truly burns the screen. The show is produced by Balaji Telefilms. Amit-Amita (Amita Ka Amit) – A chubby girl and a serious boy opting for an arranged marriage and finding love in it made a very sweet story on Sony Entertainment Television (Swastik Productions). And although the show did not manage to do well, Chandni Bhagwanani and Nishad Vaidya looked really cute on-screen with their chirpy romance. Arjun-Purvi (Pavitra Rishta) –They managed to impress viewers with their pairing on Zee TV (Balaji Telefilms) and the fans prayed and prayed to get them together in real life. And surprise…surprise, they soon realised that they were indeed in love. Currently shooting for their show and grooving on Nach Baliye’s dance floor, the couple who haven’t even officially proposed each other are going quite strong. Asad-Zoya (Qubool Hai) – The good looking and sophisticated Karan Singh Grover gets to romance the bubbly and wild Surbhi Jyoti giving the TV industry one of the most popular jodis on Zee TV (4 Lions Films). With them being different as chalk and cheese, the love story is both intense and entertaining. Dhruv-Saanchi (Kehta Hai Dil..Jee Le Zara) – When Ruslaan Mumtaz made a debut on TV with Sangeeta Ghosh, who was making a comeback, we wondered how this elder woman-young boy love story would blossom, but the way the two have made their entrance in the viewers’ heart, we give them full points. The show airs on Sony TV and is produced by Rose Audio Visuals Pvt Ltd. Jagya-Ganga (Balika Vadhu) – Shashank Vyas is one happy man who got to romance multiple girls on-screen. And with Sriti Jha coming in the Colors’ show as Ganga (Sphere Origins), the fans got to see a mature love story. And now with newly married Sargun Mehta replacing Sriti, it will be worthy wait to see this new pair evolve on TV. Jetha-Daya (Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah) – They might not be the usual lovey-dovey couple on TV, but they are the epitome of married couples who stand by their partner forgoing their negative sides and accepting and loving them till death do them apart. And who better than the talented Disha Vakhani and Dilip Joshi playing these lovely roles on the SAB TV show (Neela Telefilms). Juju-Jeannie (Jeannie Aur Juju) – This is a cute fairy tale that is more of a friendly one that mushy affair on SAB TV (Eagle Films). But Ali Asgar and Giaa Manek (now Rubina Dilaik) have made their roles of a pilot and a genie so adorable that you just can’t have enough of them on screen. Mahadev-Parvati (Mahadev) – They are a pair made by the Gods. Mohit Raina and Sonarika Bhadoria looked heavenly portraying these characters on Life OK (Triangle Film Company) and now the petite Pooja Bose is also impressing viewers with their jodi. They are beautiful and have a special divine feel to the love story. Naitik-Akshara (Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai) – They have been here for five years and are still one of the best pairs on-screen. Karan Mehra and Hina Khan epitomized the bonding of an arranged married couple on this Star Plus show (Director’s Kut). And with them happily married with a kid in the soap, the couple has stood by each other through thick and thin. Raghu-Antara (Do Dil Ek Jaan) – The rough and tough Ayaz Ahmed had a pretty girl, Nikita Sharma to woo in the valleys of Kashmir. The story which was to portray the tale of a terrorist and a victim soon became the usual saas-bahu type saga. The show bombed completely but the couple managed to win hearts with their passion and kisses on-screen. This is a Life OK project produced by Nautanki Telefilms. Ram-Priya (Bade Achhe Lagte Hain) – They are talented and have been around for quite some time now and with a show focused on their love story, their chemistry came forward really well. This aged couple has now got teenager kids on-screen but their love story still is one to look forward to. With having passed all the stages of love and marriage, they have stood like rock throughout in the Sony TV soap (Balaji Telefilms). RK-Madhu (Madhubala) – One superstar, the other a common girl. Their love story on Colors (Nautanki Telefilms) was one that not many could have thought to become so popular. The already loved faces Vivian D’Sena and Drashti Dhami took the characters to a different level with their awesome performance and a very spicy chemistry. Saras-Kumud (Saraswatichandra) – They both are so good looking that you will want them to be together forever and ever. With rumours of Jennifer Winget’s original Saras, KSG not wanting her to romance Gautam Rode, the curiosity factor between them increased making them one of the most popular jodis in recent times. And with their love story being all about disappointments in the Star Plus show (Sphere Origins), viewers just pray for them to get back together soon. Shiv-Anandi (Balika Vadhu) – This is another couple who cannot see eye to eye off screen, but share a very beautiful relation on TV. Their relationship is a mature one with both of them not just accepting each other as partners but also the families making them the perfect Indian man and woman. Siddharth Shukla and Toral Rasputra are definitely doing a great work, we say! Siddhanth-Roli (Sasural Simar Ka) – They say they are the Shin-chan couple who behave the same way as the cartoon character and his mother. A very sweet relationship that is based on friendship, Manish Raisinghania and Avika Gor look perfect in their animated love story in Colors’ show (Rashmi Sharma Productions). Sooraj-Sandhya (Diya Aur Baati Hum) –An uneducated husband fighting against his family and the society to help his wife become an IPS officer has made Anas Rashid and Deepika Singh the most sought out couple in the TV shows. Their clean and pure love story has evolved and now the viewers are getting to see some mushiness in them too (Thankfully!). This is a Star Plus show produced by Shashi Sumeet Mittal Productions. Swayam-Sharon (Dil Dostii Dance) – They have a love-hate relation that has become strong with them bonding over their only identical passion-dance. Shantanu Maheshwari and Vrushika Mehta have managed to become a very popular pair in some time and youngsters just adore them. With the ‘Swaron’ tag emphasizing their relationship, this pair is a strong one on this list. A Channel V presentation from the house of Cinevistaas.
