I am not planning a comeback on television - Sonarika Bhadoria

Sonarika Bhadoria
Graceful and beautiful TV star Sonarika Bhadoria who was last seen playing Goddess Parvati in Life OK’s Devon Ke Dev…Mahadev is an enchanting lady with a mesmerizing smile and a body to die for. There is no doubt that she is a popular face on television industry and her fans just can’t wait to see her back on the small screen. But the lady seems to have a different plan in mind. In an exclusive interview with Tellychakkar.com, she spoke about her previous show Mahadev, her future plans, personal life and more. After a splendid performance as Parvati, when can we see you back on small screen? Well, it will be heart breaking for all fans but the truth is that I am not planning a comeback on the small screen. I have been getting many offers from all channels but my focus is only on movies now. Television gets exhausting after a point of time. Shooting continuously for more than 12 hours with no holiday takes a toll on your health. There is no social life and mental peace. I salute people who have been part of the show for more than three to four years now and are shooting continuously. Are you watching Devon Ke Dev…Mahadev? Frankly speaking when I was part of the project I never watched my own show. And now I am only watching international series and movies. Do you miss shooting? More than shooting I miss acting. But as I said it was a much needed break. I wanted to chill and spend some quality time with my family and I am enjoying it. Your take on reality shows? I don’t mind being part of dance reality shows like Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa and Nach Baliye, but for being in the latter I need a baliye. And talking about shows like Bigg Boss and Welcome, frankly speaking I am not a person who will like to make my private life public. I am a very private person and would not like to show the world how I cook, brush my teeth etc. You are a big name in television now but how has your journey been in the industry? I think I am blessed that I didn’t have to struggle much. I can say that it was a cake walk for me. From my SSC boards I started getting offers for television shows but at that time I was too young. It started when I had gone to a party with my aunt who is a fashion designer and over there Rajanji (Shahi) saw me for the first time and approached me for his upcoming show. Later due to some problems, the show got scraped. Then I got an opportunity to work in Life OK’s Tum Dena Saath Mera which went off air in few months time. And as I was in an exclusive contract with the channel, Mahadev came my way. So the journey has been very fruitful and I have learnt a lot. What do you think of the current scenario on television? I think television should get practical now. It’s too predictable for viewers the way they pull up new tracks. Many popular shows started in a very different manner and later ended up with the same kitchen politics. TV shows have now become very monotonous and there is no satisfaction being an actor. If not an actor what would you have been? You won’t agree but I never wanted to be an actor. I always dreamt of becoming an IAS officer but unfortunately acting came my way. On a personal front, are you dating or single? (Smiles) I am very much single but flooded with many marriage proposals. Ahhh… sounds interesting! So will you go for love or arranged marriage? I will go for love marriage but only with my parents’ approval. What kind of a guy are you looking out for? My guy should be like a knight in the shining armor. He should be like my dad. I am a very fairy tale kind of a girl, romantic and I would expect my guy to also be very loving and caring. But the problem is that in today’s time guys are very demanding and insensible. Before dating they will try their best to impress girls and later on they will just want their own space. In a relationship I want commitment and a very strong bond. What are your hobbies? I love travelling and I have always been keen to learn different culture, language and tradition. So I am a person who likes to explore and just not restrict my capabilities. Lastly any message for all your fans? I would thank them for loving me so much. It’s their love for me that motivates me to work hard. Love me in the same way!
