Too hot to handle! Parul Chauhan

Parul Chauhan, better known as Ragini from Bidaai, is looking different these days. Not only has she put on some weight (she needed some as well!), but the sultry actress is also donning a new hairstyle. And the reason, believe it or not, it turned to be too hot to handle. “I was performing my regular puja and had put camphor for the diya. Unknowingly, I had put a bit more than what was needed. Suddenly the flames leaped up and almost hit my face. Somehow I managed to save my face, but my hair caught fire,” explains Parul when asked about the reason behind the sudden change in her hairstyle. “A few strands here and there got burned and it was really looking odd,” says the actress with the new fringe look. Parul had little choice but to rush to the parlour and work on a new look for her. “It was more out of necessity than anything else. Because of the sudden fire I had loose locks of hair everywhere. Thanks to my beautician I have a new look today,” says the actress whose rise to fame has been quite meteoric through Bidaai and Jhalak Dikhhla Ja. In fact, she even admits that there are quite a few new offers that she has got. “Unfortunately nothing concrete has happened till now, so I cannot share it with you, but expect something from me very soon,” says Parul. “I am quite happy with my new look. In fact, ever since I have changed my hairstyle, I have been getting compliments from everyone I have met,” says an excited Parul who has to apply gel to get back to the Ragini look during the shoot. While, this is the official version that Parul has to share with TellyChakkar, rumours doing round in the industry tell a different story for her new look! According to the grapevine, Parul is in love and the new look is a result of cupid's arrow striking her. There are stories doing rounds about her growing proximity with choreographer Nishant Bhatt, who was paired with Shilpa Shukla in Jhalak. Ask Parul about this and she will respond, “We are just good friends. I don’t know why I am being linked to choreographers – one after the other. Earlier, I was linked to Deepak, even though he had a steady girlfriend and was senior to me by many years. And now it is Nishant!” Nishant, however, has a slightly different version to share. “Yes we like to hang out together and have been to movies and dinners togethers. Right now we are nothing but good friends. How can I say what the future holds for us?” “Both of us are at a very important juncture of our careers. Jhalak has changed our lives. Right now, both Parul and I cannot think of anything but our careers,” says Nishant.
