They’ve got the cool swag ...the dhamaal n masti of Bollywood … some really swell contemporary moves … they lock and pop, krump and b-boy like professional Hip Hoppers…and above all, they pack in a smashing attitude called ‘Bachchagiri’ … ! It is no surprise, then, that a show featuring some of the brightest, most talented, spirited and adorable kids in the country - Dance India Dance L’il Masters Season 3 has opened up to a whopping 11099 TVTs (Source: TAM - Week 9), making it the highest-rated episode on reality shows from 2013 till date across GECs. The baaps of dance have proved their mettle as the baaps of ratings too! Judged by the seasoned Geeta Kapoor and Ahmed Khan, coached and mentored by skippers Sanam Johar, Raghav Crockroaz Juyal, DID 4 contestant Swarali Karulkar and Rahul-Paul, the L’il Masters will dance their way to the hearts of their audience. If the opening of the show is anything to go by, Season 3 of L’il Masters will emerge to be even bigger than its earlier seasons on Zee TV that were nothing short of phenomenal successes on television. Having concluded a whirlwind of auditions across Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Vadodara, Indore, Raipur, Jaipur, Bhubaneshwar, Guwahati, Dehradun, Chandigarh, Ranchi, Patna, Jammu and Lucknow, Season 3 has reached an exciting milestone where the Super 16 contestants who embody the spirit of ‘Bachchagiri’ will be chosen by the Masters after a lot of deliberation. Come 9 PM on Saturday, March 22nd, India will have its Super 16 unveiled in an exciting episode that will not just be an extravaganza of dance but one packed with delightful interludes of comedy, courtesy the hilarious duo of Krushna Abhishek and Sudesh Lehri. As an ode to Grandmaster Mithun Da, the two funnymen are said to have sung Jimmy Jimmy Jimmy and I am a Disco dancer in ghazal and aalaap style, leaving the audience in splits. The evening will see Mithun Da as never-seen-before, what with him turning into a very “YO!”, cool rappper, belting out a special rap song as he introduces the Super 16 kids, skippers and the judges. Speaking of the Grand Unveil of the Super 16 episode, Namit Sharma, Head Programming, Zee TV said, “Dancing isn't just about the steps. It is also about the attitude. Looking at the sheer aplomb and the unabashed flair of the kid contestants at DID L’il Masters season after season, we have coined the term ‘Bachchagiri’ to define their attitude this season. These kids are immensely talented and they know it. They’re carefree, uninhibited and accept any challenge that comes their way. At such a tender age, they dance with so much passion and self-assurance that it can rattle any adult watching. We conducted the auditions across 15 cities in India and the response has been overwhelming. Over one lakh children participated and we have now arrived at our Super 16 kids who exactly fit the bill of ’ Bachchagiri’’. The ‘Super 16’ unveil episode this year will not have a mere explosion of dance. That is a given with DID. What we have this year is a side of Dada audiences has never seen before and the kings of comedy – Sudesh Lehri and Krushna will regale the audience with a double dose of comic entertainment. We look forward to an exciting gala premiere and a smashing season!” Dance India Dance L’il Masters Season 3 will follow a format similar to the original season where these 16 little powerhouses of talent are divided into 4 teams led by the skippers. Episode after episode, the skippers will groom and mentor their respective teams to face the trials of dance ahead of them. The contestants will be judged on their grasp in learning new dance forms, their versatility in lending themselves to diverse styles and the grace and charisma that sets a ‘dancer with a Bachchagiri attitude’ apart from the dancers. So, here’s a look at who’s made it to Super 16 … Sanam ke Superheroes Devashish Motwani –This 10 year old bundle of talent from Jalgaon is fluid with his contemporary and Bollywood moves. Devashish is an all-rounder with excellence in his academics and extra-curricular activities. He aspires to become an actor when he grows up! Hardik Ruparel- This 12 year little wonder is from Kalyan, Maharashtra and excels in diverse dance forms like contemporary, hip hop and folk. Being the youngest in his family, Hardik is extremely naughty and loves to pull pranks on others. Anushka Chetri-All of 8 years, the ‘cute’ young talent, will dazzle the stage not just with her fine dancing but also her adorable replies. This chota packed filled with positive energy and enthusiasm hails from Darjeeling, West Bengal. Anudita Paul- This 11 year old little master of contemporary forms hails from Kolkata. Owing to her sharp moves, flexible & great expressions, she‘s called as ‘sharp as a pencil’. Anudita is a complete package of superb dancing & entertainment. Raghav Ke Rockstars Teriya Magar-11 year old Teriya from Rudrapur, Nepal took the judges by surprise with her flawless Bollywood performances and lovely expressions. Her team has nicknamed her ‘Bacteria’. You’ll soon find out why! Gaurav Sharma-This 11 year old Punjabi munda hails from Delhi. He impressed everyone with his stylish moves on Bollywood numbers. A complete chatterbox, Gaurav is a bundle of fun and entertainment exuding Bachchagiri to the core! Vishal Jadhav- Mischievous by nature, 11 year old Vishal calls himself dance ka baap. This Pune based L’il Master is very passionate about his dancing and excels in lyrical hip hop. Siddhant Damedar- A powerhouse performer, 12 year old Siddhant excels in various dance styles like freestyle, locking & popping, contemporary, folk and lyrical hip-hop. He wants to become a renowned choreographer one day! Swarali Ke Sparklers Prathamesh Mane- 10 year old Prathamesh is a perfect example of sheer dedication. He hails from Satara, Maharashtra and travels 80 km for his dance class. He loves to dance on Yo Yo Honey Singh tracks. His drive for excellence truly exemplifies his attitude of Bachchagiri. Deepak Verma- A versatile dancer, Deepak excels in diverse dance forms like hip- hop, contemporary, jazz, rock n roll, freestyle, Bollywood, and even Tollywood. To perfect his moves, this 12 year old L’il Master from Haridwar practices 4 hours every day without fail. Palak Berat- All of 9 years, her indomitable spirit and innate passion for dance have helped her overcome all the odds in life. She is an adopted kid and has impaired hearing since childhood, despite that this little girl mesmerized the judges with her rocking act and amazing confidence! Aditi Ghulap- 10 year old Aditi is from the city of dreams - Mumbai. She is a versatile dancer and enjoys various dance forms like contemporary, lyrical hip hop, locking popping, Indian folk, jazz, salsa, flamenco and freestyle. Apart from her passion for dancing, Aditi is extremely tech savvy. As per Geeta Maa, at this tender age, she exudes the grace of a matured dancer. Rahul & Paul ke Rapchik Punters Sachin Choudhary- This 7 year old “pocket dynamite” from the pink city of Jaipur owns the stage the moment he steps on it. A complete charmer, he will not let you take your eyes off him when he performs. He loves to perform on contemporary and lyrical hip hop. A star in the making, Sachin loves to recite shayaris especially to his favourite Geeta Maa! Advika Shetty- This 9 year old Mangalorean beauty has charmed the masters with her infectious smile and mind-blowing expressions. She is a superb dancer and is always full of positive energy. Sadhwin Shetty- 10 year old Sadhwin hails from Bangalore. A powerful dancer, he is good at free-style, hip hop, Krumping and folk dance. Sadhwin is a die-hard Rajnikant fan and aspires to be a choreographer. Rajvi Buch- This 10 year hip hop queen from Baroda can give any boy a run for his money when it comes to effortlessly pulling off stylish moves. She loves to play mobile games and wants to become a choreographer. These L’il dance ke baap’s are all set to make your television screen crackle with their ‘Bachchagiri’ on India’s favorite reality show, ‘Dance India Dance L’il Masters Season 3’ every Saturday and Sunday at 9 PM only on Zee TV.
