Actor Prashant Chawla finds his 'soul-mate' in Karishma Birdy

Actor Prashant Chawla, who has been a popular name in the TV circuit with shows like Teen Bahuraaniyan, Waaris, Geet Hui Sabse Parayi and the most recent Aaj Ki Housewife… Sab Jaanti Hai to his credit, is no more a bachelor!!! The handsome guy got married to his lady love, Karishma Birdy on 3 December 2013 in Mumbai. The wedding which was more of a private affair was attended by Prashant’s close industry friends which included Manish Raisinghani, and his co-artists from Aaj Ki Housewife. Karishma works as the Business Development Director at Lintas. Prashant and Karishma met a few years back through a common friend, and soon developed a bond of friendship which grew stronger resulting in marriage. Karishma (who is a Parsi) and Prashant (a Punjabi munda) chose not to go in for a traditional marriage. They had a court marriage followed by receptions both in Mumbai and Delhi (Prashant’s hometown). When contacted, Prashant expressed his joy saying, “Yes, it is a happy feeling to be married. Karishma and I got to know each other through a friend of ours. We gradually fell in love. Our families met few months back, and that is when they chalked the plans of marriage. Karishma is not from the industry though.
